HOLIDAY CHARCUTERIE CUPS

HOLIDAY CHARCUTERIE CUPS

I don't know about you, but when it comes to being invited or hosting a party I always freak out a little when trying to decide what food item to bring. Some people see this as an opportunity to show off their culinary skills, but I see it as a fast track to freak out mode. That is until I started designing themed charcuterie cups! Now I know exactly what I am going to bring AND I know it will fit in with any theme. A win, win in my book! I had the pleasure of getting to take a charcuterie board class a couple of years ago and that really helps when putting my cups together. You Tube has a ton of videos to help if you want a visual, but it is really just a bunch of folding and using skewer to hold it all together.  Folded meats create visual interest and never underestimate the power of a fun, themed skewer. It adds a fun touch to each of the cups. The skewers is where I usually place cheese, olives and a mini pickle. In the bottom of the cup you can really add whatever sounds good or what you think your crowd will love to snack on. Most of the time it is a nut of some kind, but hey... its your creation… so you do you! The final piece I would suggest is making sure to include something with height. This can be tall crackers, breadstick or even something decadent that includes chocolate. The amazing thing about charcuterie cups is that there can be a little something of everything, even for the most picky of eaters. Fill ‘em up and hand them out! I can’t wait to see what you create!
